Finnish slide guitar heroine ERJA LYYTINEN, whom we have consistently praised and whose melody-rich studio album “Another World” we described as “slickalicious in its elegance [with] precision, slitherclaw, guitar-eloquence...” has released her Christmas 2021 single “Silent Night” ahead of her planned February 2022 UK Tour (see dates on poster below.)
Every year she plays “Silent Night” as part of her annual “Blue Christmas” tours of Finland and she says that she has always wanted to record a new version of the timeless number.
As you might expect, the popular Christmas carol, a number that dates to1818, sparkles like freshly laid snow. With Erja’s deep and sweetly aromatic voice paired with simple drums (Iiro Laitinen) and handsome bass (Tatu Back) it is a melodious and lush joy.
