Through his frequent performances as a young guitarist in Toronto clubs, PHILIP SAYCE swiftly attracted attention of the music press and a devoted audiene following. To advance his music career, Sayce and his wife relocated to Los Angeles.

Soon after, he was hired by the Double Wide country rapper Uncle Kracker (Matthew Shafer), and they went on tour for 18 months. From that tour, Sayce moved onto Melissa Etheridge’s Lucky Tour to be part of her band. And in 2009 the musician released his ‘Peace Machine‘ album.

Now the Welsh-born stringmeister extraordinaire has released a new single, “Oh! That Bitches Brew.” It’s his first brand-new music in three years and promises to be the first of many things, such as tour dates and further fresh tracks.

The Wolves Are Coming Philip Sayce

The new album by Philip is bolder, more powerful, and more distinctive than anything he has written or produced before. “These songs and stories came into focus during my darkest times,” claims Philip.

The Wolves Are Coming” encourages shattered spirits to be transformed and healed.”

It turns out that Philip’s brazen and daring performance on “Oh! That Bitches Brew” (music video shared below) is a musical version of a memory that periodically floods into his mind.

The song came together quite quickly one evening,” recalls Philip.

I was sitting on the couch and started playing the riff that became the song’s main riff. I dug it and thought, ‘What am I going to say about this? Oh, I know, I remember that time someone gave me a drink at a party called “The Bitches Brew”, and it totally f*** me up.’ And that’s what the song became. It came together in about ten minutes.”
