The GRAMMY Award-winning band TRAIN together with the blues-rock maestro JOE BONAMASSA have announced the release of a new single, a stirring rendition of 38 Special’s timeless smash “Hold On Loosely.”

Mutual appreciation and a common passion for music led to this exciting collaboration between two musical titans. The legendary number is given fresh life by Train frontman Pat Monahan’s distinctive vocals, which blend flawlessly with Joe’s intricate guitar.

A full-bodied rock feast…

San Francisco rockers TRAIN were formed in 1993. After a two-year break, their 2009 album Save Me, San Francisco, yielded multiple platinum-certified international successes. They recreated the legendary 1969 Led Zeppelin disc, song for song, in their 2016 album Train Does Led Zeppelin II.

…a gratifying feeling of victory over the psychoemotional uncertainty…

On the 2024 rendition, Monahan’s rich voice slices through the borders of the full-bodied rock feast with a brash, vivacious riff providing a gratifying feeling of victory over the psychoemotional uncertainty that is gently conveyed in the lyrics.

Joe’s tasteful guitar embroidery contributes to the song’s remarkable expansion, which leads the listener to new heights. Valiant!
