Surprise in The Garden

Established in 2011 The Garden featuring twin brothers Wyatt and Fletcher Shears consistently defy categorisation and continue to break new ground in their self-inflicted ‘Vada Vada’ genre.

They are the auditory invaders of the new world: Borderless, informed and decentralised – a slick sound released from constraint and old ideologies.

Their live shows are often experiential exercises, as powerful and philosophically confounding as they are glib and tricksy. There never is any time for explanations, only a sense of urgency and a rapid spiral into their parallel world.

Following the success of their debut European tour and sold out London show at The Dentist back in August – the visceral Californian twins have announced the release of upcoming single ‘Surprise’ on 8th December via influential London based label Luv Luv Luv Records.

They also announce a UK date pre-Christmas [Thursday December 11th – London, Boston Arms SINGLE LAUNCH SHOW] plus more UK dates in the Spring.

Now we have checked out the new single Surprise! -

This plucks low as a dancer’s garter at the tip rail.

It is devilish, punkish and salty.

With wallowed jarring and rumble-strips of rhythm that accompany the throaty persuasion of those ripening vocals.
