Chicago (US) electronic, post punk band Killwave release their new album “Death by Distortion” on May 5th.
The band comprises of Erik Pedtke (bass), George Francis Pinto (vocals), Bran Xavier (drums) and Jim King (guitar).

We had a listen to the newly released second single taken from the album, titled ‘The Calling’ :
This is vigorously hyper and flashy, fancy-dancy.
The number starts with a regular pulsing chord and plain-song vocals that ripple across the uneven surfaces that are caused by rhizomes in the rhythm.
The bruising bass sounds add some gooseberry darkness to an otherwise upbeat number that contains many glints of hidden silver, shimmering happily in the darkness, adding to the glamour.
Post-punk electro-rock with chanted vocals and fiesty dancetastic rhythms…
