Franco-Scottish-Bolivian odd-balls Jacques Caramac & T.S.G. have announced the release of their new single ‘Snowballs’ (on 7” ‘snowball’ coloured vinyl)  via Everyday Life Recordings/ Rocket Girl on 5th August.

Having just stormed the Paris is Burning French music night in June, the band return to The Lexington, performing at the Rocket Girl Presents night on 31st July in support to Eat Lights Become Lights, The KVB and DJ Andy Weatherall.

Their sound is ‘kookie’ Bowie crossed with Cockney Rebel.

The group perform their first headline show on the 13th September, Upstairs at the Garage, Highbury Corner. More dates soon.

We had an early listen to ‘Snowballs’ and here’s what we thought:

Jacques Caramac & T.S.G. smallThis is a hyperactive slice of Sixties sounding neo-psychedelia.

Syrupy lolly water full of bacterial ferment. With a dusty beat that creates a smoky haze for all those swinging,  sweet-toothed vocals. This track shines like whipped cream on the sidewalk.

The guitars are plentiful and high and they gently force your toes to twitch.  This song will dangerously elevate your blood pressure.

Lick it all up. Fast.  Before it melts.
